Formations Dance Company offers affordable dance classes and performance opportunities to children and adults around Cambridgeshire & Suffolk.

CLASSES WE OFFER

We offer FREE trial classes in every discipline.

30 minutes (for children): £5.50

45 minutes (for children): £6.25

1 hour (for children): £7.00

Adult class prices vary.

We also offer private lessons!

Fees are charged per half term.

We also offer 5% discount for any household that participates in 4 or more classes a week at FDC!

ACROBATICS

Classes for children of all ages at our main studio (Fen Ditton, Cambridge) & our sister studio (Exning, Suffolk)

Strength - Stamina - Focus

We have 3 Acrobatic classes at our Fen Ditton Studio and 2 at our Exning Studio. All of our classes are JAM PACKED with tumbling, stretching, strengthening and more. Each class is carefully arranged to suit each age & ability, focusing on tricks such as cartwheels & forward rolls in our lower levels and aerials and back handsprings in our higher levels.

Our Fen Ditton classes are conducted by Principal Hannah Stockbridge, who holds an extensive knowledge within the Acrobatic world. Having learned, and performed, Gymnastic Dance from a young age she then went on to become a certified Acrobatic Arts, Acrotrix & Alixa Flexibility coach.

Our Exning classes are conducted by Principal Hannah & Miss Rori.

JAZZ

Classes for children at our main studio (Fen Ditton, Cambridge).

Freedom - Flexibility - Performance

A class that consists of kicks, turns and leaps. We love to mix up the music, from current chart toppers to the old classics. Taught by Associate IDTA Freestyle teacher, Principal Hannah. A genre favourite for many dancers!

HIP HOP

Classes for children at our main studio (Fen Ditton, Cambridge) & our sister studio (Exning, Suffolk).

Power - Dynamic - Attitude

Fresh new moves taught by Miss Megan, incorporating popping, locking and more!

COMMERCIAL

Classes for teens & adults with previous experience at our main studio (Fen Ditton, Cambridge).

Sass - Style - Energy

A chance to bring out your inner DIVA. Taught by our Commercial Queen, Miss Megan.

BALLET & POINTE WORK

Classes for children at our main studio (Fen Ditton, Cambridge) and sister studio (Tuddenham, Suffolk).

Technique - Poise - Elevation

From your first Ballet class to Advanced Pointe work, we cover it all. Taught by Miss Rori & Licentiate IDTA Ballet teacher, Principal Hannah.

Classes for children & adults at our main studio

Rhythm - Pattern - Fluidity

Understanding and performing rhythms to your favourite songs. Taught by Associate IDTA Tap teacher, Principal Hannah.

CHEERLEADING

Classes for children at our sister studio (Colville Primary School, Cherry Hinton).

Tumbling - Balance - Determination

This is a great class to encourage teamwork. Our dancers will learn tumbling and dancing techniques that enables them to perform stunts of high levels. Taught by Miss Rori.

MUSICAL THEATRE

Classes for children of all ages at our main studio (Fen Ditton, Cambridge) & our sister studios (Exning & Tuddenham in Suffolk).

Singing - Dancing - Acting

Does your little one belong in a musical? If so, this is the perfect class for them. Dancers will learn all aspects of the performing arts world. A brilliant discipline to build confidence and have a lot of fun. Taught by our Panto Queen, Miss Rori and Performing Arts lover, Miss Megan.

CONTEMPORARY

TEACHERS

MISS HANNAH

Director & Teacher

(Licentiate IDTA, Acrobatic Arts, UKCA, Acrotrix & Alixa Qualified. Enhanced DBS Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Safeguarding Training & Chaperone License).

Hannah trained at a local dance school from the age of 3 and completed grades in IDTA Ballet, Freestyle, Modern Jazz, Tap and Gymnastic Dance. She then took her first IDTA Freestyle teaching exam on her 16th birthday. Later she went on to achieve Distinction in Licentiate Ballet, Associate Freestyle and Tap. She also qualified as an Acrobatic Arts and Cheerleading (UKCA) teacher. More recently she broadened her knowledge with Acrotrix & Alixa Flexibility training.

Hannah has a huge passion for bringing out the best in every dancer and will continue to ensure that the classes are safe, progressive and enjoyable.

MISS MEGAN

Hip Hop, Commercial & Musical Theatre teacher.

(Level 6 Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre, Enhanced DBS Certificate, First Aid Certificate, SEND Practitioner, Level 2 Safeguarding Certificate, Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Specific Learning Difficulties & Chaperone License).

Miss Megan has been passionate about dance since she was a little girl. With a clear vision of incorporating dance into her future, she pursued full-time studies in Musical Theatre at Bird College in London.

Her impressive performance credits include dancing at the X-Factor semi-finals and performing at the Olympia Horse Show for BBC Television.

In addition to being an exceptional dancer, Miss Megan brings valuable expertise from her primary school teaching background, with extensive knowledge in SEND and safeguarding measures.

Miss Megan remains a vital part of our team, offering dancers the individualized attention necessary to achieve their dance aspirations.

MISS RORI

Gymnastics, Cheer, Ballet, Musical Theatre, Contemporary and Acro teacher.

(Dance BA Hons and Level 2 British Gymnastics Coach. Enhanced DBS Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Safeguarding Training & Chaperone License).

Miss Rori has a broad range of training.Like Miss Hannah & Miss Megan, she started her dancing journey from a young age. She then went on to study A-Level Dance in Cambridge and received a Bachelor Of Arts with Honours, in Dance, at Bath Spa University. During this time she enjoyed participating in many performances at local pantomimes and developed her training as a Gymnastics coach, through British Gymnastics.

Miss Rori thrives on passing on her comprehensive knowledge to our budding performers and we think she is going to shape a bright future for our school.

LEAH

Assistant

Lovely Leah has been dancing at Formations for as long as we can remember. You might spot her at our Exning studio, where she assists Miss Megan in her classes. In her new role, she supports children with additional needs, escorts them to the toilet, and handles various tasks to enhance the flow of the class.

Leah's friendly presence is cherished by the children, who adore her!
